True Color Landsat Image

This is an image of Phoenix, Arizona created on a computer using data collected from the Landsat 5 satellite. Data about the amount of Red, Green and Blue light reflected from the Earth's surface is recorded by the satellite and sent back to earth. Then, computers are used to combine the data to make images like this one.
